INTRODUCTION ABOUT THE TRAINER:
• LAB ELECTRONICS ISDN trainer gives access to online services as the Internet, AOL/CompuServe and T-Online and is also suitable for remote LAN access. You can see it as a digital replacement for an analog modem. ISDN and analog data communications are performed via Microsoft's Dial-Up Network (WAN Miniport) and CAPI.
• The ISDN additionally connects up to two analog devices like telephones, Facsimiles or answering machines to the ISDN network.
To work with ISDN you need
• An ISDN U Interface (BRI) (replacing an analog telephone line).
• A PC with online software for a modem
The connection to the PC can be performed in the two following ways:
• Via the USB interface or
• Via the serial port RS232 (COM port) of the PC.
The serial port of the PC should be capable of a data rate of up to 115.2 kbps (230.4 kbps for Multilink PPP to increase performance). This might require an additional PC card for older PCs.
