SUBMARINE TRIM TRAINER

OBJECTIVE:

To study the yoeing and pitching operation of the submarine trim setup by controlling the volume of water in the tanks.
To maintain fore and aft balance by controlling the amount of distribution of water in the various tanks.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:

Trim Tank Setup: A Fore and a Aft trim tanks are present to study the yoeing and pitching operation of submarine.
Programmable Logic Controller: To control the yoeing and pitching operation of submarine in Manual and Auto modes.
Pumping Station: Two identical 1/15 H.P (240V/50Hz-AC Operated) motors are used to fill the Trim tanks with water.
Drain Station: Two identical Solenoid Valves (240V/50Hz-AC Operated) are used to drain the water from Trim tanks.
MODE OF EXPERIMENTS:
Manual Mode: In this mode, user has to set the variables manually using the function keys F1, F2, F3 & F4 for energizing the motors and solenoid valves to see the relative outputs. Auto Mode: In this mode the user has to set the angle and by pressing the start the trim tanks will be filled and drained automatically according to the set values
