MODEL U1: T.V. VISION IF SUBSYSTEM TRAINING BOARD
Objective:
In this trainer video IF signals (38.9MHZ) and sound signals (33.4MHZ) obtained from the tuner are given at the input of this section using IC3068. A separate detector has been used in this IC for obtaining the inter carrier sound IF signals.

MODEL U2: SOUND IF AND AUDIO OUTPUT SUBSYSTEM TRAINING BOARD
Objectives:
This trainer is based on 1190 IC and has got

  1. Multistage IF amplifier
  2. FM Detector
  3. DC Volume control
  4. Audio power amplifier

    The main function of this trainer is to amplify the inter carrier sound IF SIGNALS (5.5MHZ) and to detect these to obtain the sound signals.

MODEL U3: T.V. HORIZONTAL OSCILLATOR SUBSYSTEM TRAINING BOARD
Objective:

This trainer consists of sync separator, line frequency oscillator phase comparator with synchronizing arrangements and amplifier for amplifying sweep signals produced by the oscillator. You will connect the video signals input, fly-back pulse input from the horizontal output stage and EHT generator training board. You will observe that the horizontal drive (15,625) obtained from this section is given to the EHT voltage Generator board. The synchronizing signals is removed from composite video signal and you will connect them to vertical sweep oscillator board.

MODEL U4: T.V. HORIZONTAL OUTPUT STAGE AND EHT VOLTAGE GENERATOR TRAINING BOARD
Objectives :

This board is the mother board of the T.V. receiver. You will connect the following training boards to this board,

  1. From vision IF (keying pulse, video signal)
  2. From Horizontal subsystem (video signal, Flyback pulse, Horizontal drive)
  3. From vertical oscillator (+ 20V, blanking out)
  4. 110V power supply from TV power supply board
  5. Video signal, various grid voltages etc. (To picture tube section)

MODEL U5: TV VERTICAL SWEEP OSCILLATOR SUBSYSTEM TRAINING BOARD
Objectives :

This trainer performs two main functions.
a) Firstly - it produces oscillations at the vertical sweep rate (50Hz). The phase and frequency of these oscillations is controlled by the vertical sync signals obtained from the sync separator.
b) Secondly-it amplifies these oscillations and provides sufficient current of saw tooth waveform to the vertical deflection coil. Flyback pulses are also obtained from this section for suppressing the vertical retrace lines on the picture tube







MODEL U6: 50cms PICTURE TUBE TRAINING BOARD
Objective:

You will connect the vertical & horizontal deflection coil to the neck of the picture positions by changing it. You will connect the valve base to the respective point of P.T.EHT (16KV) cable is also connected to the final anode of picture tube, The above three points are taken from the TV horizontal output and EHT generator board. Loud speaker is provided which is to be connected from TV sound IF section training board Tuner is also provided on the cabinet.







MODEL U7: SWITCH MODE POWER SUPPLY (FOR TV RECEIVER
Objectives:
AII TV training boards from U1-U5 can be energized by this TV power supply it will have following voltages.

  1. 110V output horizontal output stage and EHT generator training board
  2. 21 V TV sound subsystem training board
  3. 12V TV vision IF subsystem training board and tuner
  4. 20V vertical sweep generator board. It is a single PCB with complete power supply circuit printed on the top of the panel
